Did you know? According to a study done by Schofield insurance where they interviewed over 1000 millennial travellers between the ages of 18 and 33 in the UK, the number 1 influencing factor for where they decide to take a holiday is ‘how Instagrammable’ the destination is.
This may come as a surprise to the Baby Boomer generation, many of whom could care less about Instagram and the impact of their choice of holiday destination on their social media networks, but to the younger generation, it is increasingly used as a status symbol of sorts to be able to say ‘been there, done that’ as travel items are ticked off the proverbial bucket list and featured on carefully curated Instagram feeds.
When it comes to ‘Instagrammable’ views and experiences, the Garden Route and Knysna in particular, are hard to beat. But don’t take our word for it, check out some of the amazing Instagram posts from locals and international visitors alike in this handy Instagram guide to the area that we’ve put together specially for you. You’ll be sure to be the talk of the social media town when you’ve captured or recreated some of these amazing shots of places to see and be seen – get snapping now!
